United Nations General Assembly Third Committee-Social, Humanitarian & Cultural Issues is one of the six main committees that formed the United Nations General Assembly. All member states of the United Nations, number 193 countries can participate in all of the discussion in the Third Committee. The Third Committee discusses Human Rights around the world. It collaborates intensely with the United Nations Human Rights Councils regarding the monitoring of Human Rights conditions and treatment. Other than the discussion about human rights in general, this Committee also talks specifically regarding the status of women, the protection of children, the status of indigenous people, refugee problem and also the freedom from racism and racial discrimination. This committee also talks about the problem that befalls the youth, family, individual with a disability and also the reformation of the criminal justice system.
